San Pedro de Atacama
It really is a magical place and I agree with my partner in considering this place as magical and beautiful.
San Pedro de Atacama was the center of Atacameño culture and later an outpost for the Incas. All this ancestral culture is found in fortresses and pucarás that date back to the 12th century. Nowadays, this town lives from tourism and of course, it has one of the cleanest skies in the world, which has allowed it to be one of the places where important astronomical observatories have been installed, such as the Space and Ahlarkapin, as well as the Astronomical Radio Alma, one of the largest astronomical facilities in the world.
Along with the San pedro de Atacama star, it has an urban center that has preserved its local architecture, highlighting the San Pedro de Atacama Church, declared a national monument in Chile, and its handicraft fair. And as if that were not enough, San Pedro de Atacama is a starting point for several excursions to natural attractions such as the Geisers del Tatio, Valley of the Moon and Death, Salar de Atacama, among others.
In short, a wonderful place full of wonders to discover, I am eager to return!
